Explore Leadership Opportunities
Aspiring Leaders is a development program for faculty interested in exploring future leadership opportunities and strengthening their ability to lead from any role.
Participants develop skills in leadership and communication, clarify their leadership interests, and explore ways to contribute within their departments, schools, and the university. The program views leadership as influence, collaboration, and intentional practice, not just a formal title or position.
Fall 2026 Program
The fall program includes four in-person, 90-minute sessions on the following dates:
- October 9: Five Paths to Leadership
- October 23: Anatomy of Trust
- November 13: Navigating Difficult Conversations
- December 4: Lead by Design: Design Thinking as a Leadership Tool
Sessions will be held on Fridays from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and will include facilitated discussion, interactive activities, and opportunities to apply the concepts to faculty leadership experiences.
