IU Indianapolis is gearing up for its first accreditation review as an independent institution.
This process confirms that our academic programs meet rigorous standards and assures students that their degrees are respected and recognized.
It is a defining moment in our journey as a new urban research university.
IU Indianapolis recently participated in the national COACHE survey to better understand faculty job satisfaction.
The results are in—and we’re listening.
Faculty identified three major areas of concern, and we’re leading targeted efforts to address them, including improving recognition, strengthening departmental leadership, and fostering a more inclusive and supportive workplace.
We recently asked you to share your thoughts on generative artificial intelligence (GenAI).
Through a Qualtrics survey, we asked how you’re using it in your work, how it might be used in teaching, and what policies should guide its use by students.
We received more than 300 survey responses and many of you provided your name and contact information, indicating that you are interested in further discussion.
In response, we have scheduled ten 45-minute Listening Sessions to create space for you to share experiences, ask questions, and discuss the evolving role of GenAI in teaching, research, and academic work.
We're eager to hear directly from faculty about how GenAI tools are shaping academic practices and what types of support, resources, or guidance would be most valuable. Input from these conversations will inform future campus planning and faculty support efforts led by our office.
