All full time faculty at IU Indianapolis go through several reviews and reappointment processes.
- There is an annual review (due January 15th) which covers each calendar year, and is conducted by the department and school. This includes tenured, pre-tenure, and non-tenure-track faculty and librarians.
- Pre-tenure tenure-track faculty and librarians have a third year review in spring of their third academic year.
- Tenured faculty recieve a post-tenure review every five years following the effective date of their tenured appointment.
- For everyone except tenured faculty, there is a reappointment process that happens one year prior to the expiration of one's current appointment.
